Your Presentations Stay Private

Better Powerpoints processes all presentations locally on your device. We never upload, store, or have access to your presentation files. Your content remains completely private and under your control at all times.

All presentation editing, rendering, and processing happens in your browser using local storage. No presentation data is transmitted to our servers.

Account Information

When you create an account, we only collect:

  • Email address (for account access)
  • Profile information from Google OAuth (if you choose to sign in with Google)

We do NOT store your projects on our servers. All project data, including names, thumbnails, and creation dates, is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB.

We use Better Auth for secure authentication and follow industry-standard security practices.

Use of Google User Data

Better Powerpoints's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use any data obtained from Google Workspace APIs — including Gmail data — to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

User data accessed via Google OAuth is used strictly for the purpose of account authentication. This data is never shared, sold, or used for advertising purposes.

Data Collection

BetterPowerpoints collects the following types of personal data:

  • Email address for account creation and communication.
  • Profile information from Google OAuth, such as name and email, when you choose to sign in with Google.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as passwords or payment card details.

Data Storage

Personal data collected is stored securely:

  • Account information (email, profile data from Google) is stored on our servers using secure authentication services.
  • Project data (presentations) is stored locally on your device using browser local storage and IndexedDB.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Data Usage

We use the collected personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain your account and access to our services.
  • To authenticate users via Google OAuth.
  • To communicate with you regarding your account or our services.

Google user data is used solely for authentication and is not shared with third parties except as necessary for the service.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Better Powerpoints's legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

Payments
